The 13-seat Toyota Hiace takes no other passengers. One person or 13 — the price is the same; we don’t sell individual seats or tickets. More than 13 people — we’ll find a partner minibus for your date; on short routes two runs in a row also work.
Driver, fuel and road included
Our regular driver with 20+ years of experience, fuel, toll sections and pickup in Almaty are all in the quoted price; you don’t pay extra per passenger. National park entrance fees, ski passes and a local off-road vehicle, if your route needs them, are not included.
Round trip
The round trip is one price. The driver waits for your group on site for as long as you said when booking; if you stay longer, you pay only for the extra hours.

Bags and gear go in a separate compartment. If everyone has a large suitcase or a stroller, we take up to 9 people; with skis and snowboards, 9–10. Tell us what you’re bringing when you book.

Trips in the city and nearby are paid after the trip. Long intercity trips and trips of several days need a partial prepayment to hold the date, the rest before departure. Companies get an invoice, a contract and closing documents.

Turgen Dacha is a small family resort in the protected part of Turgen Gorge, about 80 km from Almaty at around 1,300 meters. It has rooms and cottages for rent, a picnic house for several families, an apple orchard for walks, a summer pool and a banya (steam bath) with a plunge pool of spring water. It’s quiet and green — people choose it for a relaxed family weekend and for small-scale team building in nature, away from the noise of the city.
AlaGo takes groups here but doesn’t run the resort: rooms, the banya and the grounds are booked directly with Turgen Dacha, and we take care of the road. We send a 13-seat Toyota Hiace with a driver who knows the way into the gorge and will get you right to the gates without getting lost on the mountain bends. You pay for the whole minibus, not for each seat, so for a big family or a team, getting there is simpler and cheaper than splitting up into cars.
The road from Almaty to Turgen Gorge: what to know
The route heads east from Almaty through the village of Turgen and then up the gorge along the river. The distance is about 80 km, roughly an hour and a half: the first part is on a level highway, and closer to the resort there’s a mountain section with a climb. The driver knows the road, so we won’t miss the turn to Turgen Dacha.
Along the way there are gas stations and shops where you can pick up water and food, and the village of Turgen is the last chance to stock up before heading into the gorge. Tell us what time you need to be at the resort, and we’ll time the pickup around your check-in so there’s no rushing on the mountain switchbacks.
Staying at Turgen Dacha and exploring around it
The resort itself is about a quiet family break: clean mountain air, spring water, an apple orchard and a banya with a plunge pool. In summer the outdoor pool is open, and for groups there’s a house for several families with a barbecue area. Guests stay in rooms and cottages, so people usually come not for the day but for a weekend out of town. Check current prices, availability and the pool and banya hours directly with the resort.
A big plus of this destination is that the famous Turgen waterfalls are close by, not far from the resort, and the whole of Turgen Gorge is open for walks. With your own minibus it’s easy to combine your stay at the dacha with a trip to the waterfalls: the driver will drop the group at the start of the trail and pick you up again. A transfer or several cars: how to get to Turgen Dacha
Driving into the gorge in a convoy of cars is a hassle: there’s the mountain section, someone always has to drive, and you arrive at the resort at different times. One minibus takes everyone together — you leave and come back as one group, and on the way you can rest and enjoy the views instead of keeping the next car in your mirror.
For a group of 8–13 people, booking a whole Hiace costs less than taxis both ways, especially with an overnight stay at the resort and a return time agreed in advance. The driver picks you up at home in Almaty, takes you to the gates of Turgen Dacha and collects you at the agreed time — the same evening or the next day.
