Driver, fuel and road included
Our regular driver with 20+ years of experience, fuel, toll sections and pickup in Almaty are all in the quoted price; you don’t pay extra per passenger. National park entrance fees, ski passes and a local off-road vehicle, if your route needs them, are not included.
Round trip
The round trip is one price. The driver waits for your group on site for as long as you said when booking; if you stay longer, you pay only for the extra hours.

Almaty to Birch Grove: what to know about the drive
The road climbs toward the mountains — from Dostyk Avenue up to the Kamenskoe Plateau, past the Ak-Kaiyn sanatorium. It is about 15 km from the center and roughly half an hour on the road, depending on city traffic. The higher you go, the more you notice the air change: it gets fresher and cooler, and the city noise stays below.
The grove is within the nature park, and there is a small per-person fee at the entrance — you pay it on site, and it is not included in the trip price. The driver brings your group right to the entrance of the grove, so you don’t have to look for parking or haul the grill and bags from a distant lot — you unload next to your picnic spot.
Things to do at Birch Grove
The main thing here is unhurried time in nature. Walking paths wind among the birches, there are gazebos and big swings, and beyond the grove itself a pine forest and spruce woods begin, where it is pleasant to wander away from the crowds. In the fall people come here for photo shoots — for the golden birch leaves against the white trunks.
The place works both for a barbecue picnic and for pitching tents and staying the night. In winter there is a slope for snow tubing, with tubes for rent on site, and in summer horseback rides are offered too; for real ski runs, people head higher up to Shymbulak. Tell us in advance how long you plan to stay and whether you need to be back by a certain time — we will fit the driver’s waiting schedule to your day.

Getting to the grove on your own with all your stuff is awkward: public transport only goes as far as the last stop by the plateau, from there you still have to walk, and hauling a grill and bags uphill is no fun.
