The 13-seat Toyota Hiace takes no other passengers. One person or 13 — the price is the same; we don’t sell individual seats or tickets. More than 13 people — we’ll find a partner minibus for your date; on short routes two runs in a row also work.
Driver, fuel and road included
Our regular driver with 20+ years of experience, fuel, toll sections and pickup in Almaty are all in the quoted price; you don’t pay extra per passenger. National park entrance fees, ski passes and a local off-road vehicle, if your route needs them, are not included.
Round trip
The round trip is one price. The driver waits for your group on site for as long as you said when booking; if you stay longer, you pay only for the extra hours.
Luggage: 13 traveling light, up to 9 with suitcases
Bags and gear go in a separate compartment. If everyone has a large suitcase or a stroller, we take up to 9 people; with skis and snowboards, 9–10. Tell us what you’re bringing when you book.
Payment: cash, Kaspi or invoice
Trips in the city and nearby are paid after the trip. Long intercity trips and trips of several days need a partial prepayment to hold the date, the rest before departure. Companies get an invoice, a contract and closing documents.

The 8 Lakes Park Resort is a large year-round recreation area in the village of Kamenskoe Plato, Talgar District, outside Almaty. It covers almost 1,200 hectares: eight stocked lakes with clean artesian water, a thermal spa, cottages and hotel rooms, restaurants and a beach area. People come here for a quiet family day, with a big group for a company event, and in winter for ice skating and tubing. It is only about 40 km from the city center, roughly an hour’s drive.
We only provide the transport — the resort is not ours: cottages, the spa and restaurant tables are booked through the 8 Lakes reception, and our job is to gather your group in Almaty and get it there and back. We send a 13-seat Toyota Hiace with a driver who knows the road across Kamenskoe Plateau well. The price is for the whole minibus, not per passenger, so for a family or a team it is both easier and less stressful than splitting up into several cars.
Almaty to Kamenskoe Plateau: the road and stops
The resort is outside the city, in the village of Kamenskoe Plato, in the direction of Talgar. The route follows the Kuldzha highway to the turnoff for Tonkeris and then the signs — about 40 km, roughly an hour on the road; the exact time depends on getting out of the city and on the weather. The driver knows the road, so there is no circling around looking for the right turn to 8 Lakes.
There are places on the way to stop for water or small things for the road, and beyond the city limits it gets noticeably quieter. Tell us when your booking starts and what time you need to be there, and we will time the pickup so you make it to check-in or the start of the event without rushing.
What the 8 Lakes resort offers
The grounds are large and open all year. In summer there is a beach area by the lakes, walks and fishing — the lakes are stocked and the water is artesian. The thermal spa with warm pools and a bathhouse complex is open all year, and you can grab a bite or celebrate an occasion at one of the resort’s restaurants. Cottages and rooms are available for overnight stays, so many people come not just for the day but for a weekend out of town.
In winter 8 Lakes has an ice rink, tubing slopes and equipment rental. It is a convenient format for families with children and for a company outing in the cold season. Check the opening hours of specific areas, prices and availability with the resort itself — we are responsible for the road there and back, not for booking services at the resort.
Transfer or on your own: how to get to 8 Lakes
The plateau is close, but going there in several cars is awkward: someone is behind the wheel all day, you arrive at the resort at different times, and your things and gear get split between trunks. One minibus keeps the group together — you leave and come back as one party, and on the road you can relax instead of keeping an eye on the other car in traffic.
For a group of 8–13 people, booking the whole Hiace works out cheaper than taxis both ways for everyone, especially if you are staying overnight at the resort and have booked the return trip in advance. The driver takes you from your home in Almaty to the 8 Lakes gates and picks you up at the agreed time — that same evening or the next day.
