Our regular driver with 20+ years of experience, fuel, toll sections and pickup in Almaty are all in the quoted price; you don’t pay extra per passenger. National park entrance fees, ski passes and a local off-road vehicle, if your route needs them, are not included.

The round trip is one price. The driver waits for your group on site for as long as you said when booking; if you stay longer, you pay only for the extra hours.

How to get to Kaskelen Gorge from Almaty
The road heads west along Abay Avenue and Zhandosov Street, then along the upper Kaskelen road to the villages at the foot of the mountains and up the gorge. It’s about 35 km from the center and roughly an hour’s drive, allowing for getting out of the city; on weekend mornings the road can be busier, so it’s better to start early.
Inside the gorge the road is paved up to the main resorts and trout farms; beyond that, a dirt track climbs toward the hiking routes. The minibus takes you to whatever spot you name when you book — the driver will wait for the group in the resort’s parking lot or come back for you at the agreed time if you’re staying all day.
Things to do in Kaskelen Gorge
The main attraction here is trout: at the riverside farms, guests catch the fish themselves and the cooks prepare it on the spot; there are gazebos, yurts and banyas nearby, so an outing easily stretches into a whole day. There are also recreation areas with cabins for overnight stays, where groups come for the weekend — you book the accommodation and the gazebo yourselves; we’re responsible only for the ride.
For those who want mountains rather than a feast, there are easy forest walks along the river and more serious hikes to the upper reaches. In summer it’s cooler here than in the city, in fall the forest turns yellow and russet, and in winter the farms and resorts operate as usual. If you’d like to combine two places in one outing, Aksay Gorge, with its skete and trails, is right next door, and on the same western road is the Country Village resort.
